My baby ?

This is my baby who idolizes his big brother. Josh does not appreciate me calling him or referring to him as "my baby". He gets very mad. So if he was to read my last post(s) he would be very upset that I referred to him as "my baby". Anyway, since he was an (infant) baby, Jared has always called him "McGoo". Jared said he looked like Mr. McGoo, though I have no idea who that is, and it sorta stuck. Well the other day i was trying to get his attention, and as he normally does - he ignored me when i said "Josh" (like 3 times) so I said "McGoo!" He then turned around and said "my name isn't mcgoo. it is joshua". I thought that happened in like junior high?

This one, who is also my baby, doesnt mind so much when I refer to him as my baby. He sorta likes it. :) (though don't tell his friends).

and we had to say goodbye~

We had the opportunity of spending some time with Amanda and the kids this summer while Kevin was in North Korea. Unfortunately the time had to end. Kevin came and got them and they moved to Okinawa, Japan.

This was going to be our "final" and "goodbye" pic...

but then some one suggested Leatherby's. I love this picture. My baby and my Dad sharing an ice cream and Brycey too.

This is the "final" pic before we said our goodbye's.

We will miss having them around!

it's been awhile...

A few pics of what we have been up to this summer...

I love these pictures of Jake. He is growing up so fast! He has pretty much taken over my 4-wheeler. He drives him and Josh and whomever wants a ride all over camp. These pictures also make me think of when he will be 16 with a drivers license. He is going to drive his car home, come in the house and eat. Because this is what growing boys do!

He did it again!

Here is Josh and Bryce. Josh is practicing his aim and Bryce is his helper.

Jared took these next two pictures. I thought Evie's was pretty cute.

This is about the amount of fun I had the whole trip.... and that is because I am sure I was eating a yummy Almond Joy.

Our annual Bear Lake trip. So much fun! We didnt even have a boat. Our plans for a jet ski fell through, but we didnt even need one.

yea. This is what I get when I try to get Jakes attention for a picture.

More Bear Lake.. they are not all smiling because of the camera... it is what I had to say to get them to all look at me.

4th of July. We had lots of fun. We had some of our friends and family over for food and fireworks. I just love these get togethers. I wish we could do them more often!

and of course a little swimming. I was lazy with my camera at the pool this year. I figured all swimming pictures look the same! Though Josh doesnt swim with "floaties" anymore. These are all the cousins swimming together. (Krystal if you are reading this, we have for sure got to have you guys over to swim next year! I would say this year, but I think the pool closes on Monday).

and camping! This is only one of our fun camping trips this year. the other one I forgot my dang camera! Actually I forgot that we had the luxury of the camper and that it had plugs.... my battery was dead in my camera so I didn't bring it. duh!

Just a few things we have been up to. of course the kids are back in school now and my baby goes to school all day! I think this is harder than kindergarten. Though my baby is growing up....he still holds my hand and I LOVE THAT!

Sunday Morning~

Due to the wind and the FREEZING cold temps we cant seem to enjoy this part of house as often as we would like. I think this is the best feature of our whole house....

Just check out the views!

Unfortunately, someone is going to eventually build a house behind us, which will take away most of the mountains, so we will enjoy them while it lasts!

It's a bubble!

Since Christmas Josh has consistently tried to learn how to blow a bubble. He would ask everyone how to do it, how they do it, and at times get so frustrated because he couldnt do it! Then one day I hear this "MMMMMMMMM!" "MMMMMMMMMMMM!" he is trying to get my attention as he FINALLY had a bubble in his mouth!

He was so happy! and I was happy for him. Though it was only learning to blow a bubble, I was very proud of him as he never gave up trying. Since then, he has thoroughly enjoyed his new accomplishment!

His N' Hers

Can you guess which sink is Jareds?

You can't see that under this sink, one cabinet door is open revealing another mess of a drawer. This one must be Jareds sink. I would never be so messy!

should offense be taken?

Yesterday, I was doing my usual volunteering in Josh's kindergarten class. His teacher comes up to me and says "I tested Josh and he can read 104 words per minute." I say Wow! That is great. We talk a minute of how is fluency is great, his comprehension is great...etc. She then says " I have been talking with first grade teachers about Josh, and they all say "Wow! - I hope I dont get him in my class!""..... That comment is killing me!!! Why wouldnt anyone want my sweet boy in their class!?

I would assume this is usually the case for kids with bad behavior...not because they are so dang smart!

Maybe it was supposed to come across as a compliment? I dont know.

How would you have taken it?
