Sunday Morning~

Due to the wind and the FREEZING cold temps we cant seem to enjoy this part of house as often as we would like. I think this is the best feature of our whole house....

Just check out the views!

Unfortunately, someone is going to eventually build a house behind us, which will take away most of the mountains, so we will enjoy them while it lasts!

It's a bubble!

Since Christmas Josh has consistently tried to learn how to blow a bubble. He would ask everyone how to do it, how they do it, and at times get so frustrated because he couldnt do it! Then one day I hear this "MMMMMMMMM!" "MMMMMMMMMMMM!" he is trying to get my attention as he FINALLY had a bubble in his mouth!

He was so happy! and I was happy for him. Though it was only learning to blow a bubble, I was very proud of him as he never gave up trying. Since then, he has thoroughly enjoyed his new accomplishment!

His N' Hers

Can you guess which sink is Jareds?

You can't see that under this sink, one cabinet door is open revealing another mess of a drawer. This one must be Jareds sink. I would never be so messy!

should offense be taken?

Yesterday, I was doing my usual volunteering in Josh's kindergarten class. His teacher comes up to me and says "I tested Josh and he can read 104 words per minute." I say Wow! That is great. We talk a minute of how is fluency is great, his comprehension is great...etc. She then says " I have been talking with first grade teachers about Josh, and they all say "Wow! - I hope I dont get him in my class!""..... That comment is killing me!!! Why wouldnt anyone want my sweet boy in their class!?

I would assume this is usually the case for kids with bad behavior...not because they are so dang smart!

Maybe it was supposed to come across as a compliment? I dont know.

How would you have taken it?

Does jacobb have one?

My neighbor was telling me a story about when my kids were at her house the other night:

"Josh is walking outside with a plate of pizza and I asked him, would you like a napkin? He turns around and says - does Jacobb have one?"

She ended up giving him napkins for him and Jacobb.

Too funny.

instead its different...

Jared is fixing to mow the lawn and the neighbor boy, Seth, is over with his lawnmower talking to Jared. Seth checks out Jareds' lawnmower and says "Hey! My Dad has that same lawnmower -instead its different!"

MOTHERS DAY~

Happy late mother's day to all you mother's out there.

I had a very nice Mother's Day. I woke up to Joshy giving me this:

Actually, I had to ask for it. I think he forgot about it since he made it in school and brought it home 2 weeks early, because they went off track, so he had to hide it. However, I couldnt wait to see what he made for me! Can you believe his penmanship!? Inside this envelope made with love was:

They are magnets. Josh is way into art and drawing roses. I now have a rose magnet and a Josh magnet. I love them!

We started the day with Jareds Mom, Cynthia. Cynthia is a FABULOUS Mom, Mother in Law and Grandma. We/I couldn't be luckier to have her around. We wanted to take her to breakfast for Mother's Day, but as usual, it was her treat. Thank you!

To top off the day I got to have my FABULOUS Mom over along with some other wonderful Mothers (L to R): Lisa, My Mom, me, Teena (evie), Angela and Katie. I love these girls to death and I am so glad that they were able to come over.

To my Mom: I think you are the best Mom and Grandma and I appreciate everything you do for us. My kids enjoy spending time with you. They had such a great time at lunch the other day! I miss seeing you on Mondays more than you will ever know. I am so glad I have got to see you the past 2 times I went to the post office. Hope to talk to you soon! Love, Barbi

Cynthia: You are also one of the best Moms and Grandma's around. You have shown Jared how to be such a great person and he is the best husband, and example, because of that. My kids love their grandma Cynthia. Thanks for everything you do for us!

Lisa, Teena, Katie, Krystal, Star & Amanda (sorry if I missed anyone - i dont think too many people read this): You are all wonderful moms in so many different ways. Some of you are way patient with your kids, some of you bring fun and laughter into your families, some of you are disciplined, some of you have religion but most of all, your kids know how much you love and adore them. I am lucky to have you as my friends.

I know Shirley will never read this, she doesnt even own a computer, but I cant forget her. Shirley you are a very special great grandma and I am so happy that my kids have gotten to know you and Tom. Most kids arent able to know their great grandparents like my kids do. You mean the world to them.

I love being a Mom. I was thrown into this motherhood thing at the young age of 20, and I have loved it so much. They are such sweet, mommas boys. I am so lucky.
