Farewell~
Last weekend we unfortunately had to join our special friends at the funeral of their mother & wife, Lisa Wells. Lisa was only 48 years old and was a very special person. Though she is a very busy seamstress, and HATED making them, she took time to make baby blankets and burp cloths for me to give to my neice and cousin. This isnt the only thing that made her special in my/our life, but it shows what a kind person she was. She was a very genuine and very nice person.
We will miss Lisa deeply. I hope her family may be able to one day live their joyful lives again with her in spirit.
Rest in Peace Lisa.

To be a kid again
Remember making tents when you were little and sleeping in them to wake up the next morning to find it all fell down? Or, in my niece Brittany's case, having a rock fall on your head in the middle of the night, because that was the strongest thing she could find to hold up that one corner of the blanket.

Since we learned from Brittany, we knew not to use Jacobb's radio to hold up the corners. This was one steady tent that held up all night and FOREVER if we would let them.
The Flaming Turtles v. The Flaming Jack Rabbits
This is what we would sort of call a friendly game of basketball. We had The Flaming Turtles (Jared & Josh) v The Flaming Jack Rabbits (Jacobb, Kdin & Anthony). Due to a height advantage The Flaming Turtles won 7-3. There may have been some cheating going on, but dinner was ready and there was scoring that had to be done.

You just cant help notice what freaking cute men/boys the Jensens are! All 3 of them !!
We did it!

Josh must be one lucky kindergartener
My kids go to the local rec center while they are off track. Jacobb was complaining the other night that he has no friends there and he always plays by himself. Which I have discovered over the years is only true for the first 30 minutes. Almost every day I pick him up I have to "wait" while he finishes up an activity that he is doing - WITH THE OTHER KIDS (that he really isnt playing with.... mmhmm)
So, he tells me this the other night and I tell him I will talk to the teachers and ask them to help him make a friend, as Jacobb can be a bit shy. We get there the next morning and walk in the room and there are girls everywhere! and a group of boys in this one part of the room. So without hesitation I walk over to the boys and say "can Jacobb play with you" and they just sit there and stare at me so I say "do you know Jacobb?" they shake their heads up and down and I repeat " can he play with you?". They once again shake their heads up and down so I turn around to tell Jacobb he can play with them and he loudly (& angrily) tells me "MOMMM!I DONT WANT TO PLAY WITH FIRST GRADERS!!!" and went and played with a girl.
His response took me by surprise and I have been laughing about it for the last couple of days.
Who was I to know I was talking to first graders?
